How is it done?

I scan your photograph to turn it into a computer-based image. Then I manipulate the image held in the computer to achieve the desired results.

Really, the only limit to the changes that can be made is the limits of one's imagination, but please remember that the less that is changed, the better the finished photograph will look. Too much manipulation gives it a 'false' look and looses the original character of the photograph. For instance, old photographs are grainy and out of focus - take away that 'character', and it won't look right and won't look authentically old.

Finally, the edited image held in the computer is printed out, back on to paper, and you have your edited photograph.
